Tessa Lemos Del Pino

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Tessa practiced law in Washington and subsequently held administrative roles at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and its National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse and the Tennessee Lawyers’ Association for Women. She earned a juris doctorate at University of Washington School of Law.

Emily Stotts

LEGAL DIRECTOR

Emily is a 2013 graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and joined the TNJFON team in 2023. She previously served as the Director of the Immigrant Justice Program at the Community Legal Center in Memphis, Tennessee, and is passionate about providing holistic legal services to immigrants. Her practice includes providing deportation defense to individuals appearing before the Memphis Immigration Court.

Hashmatullah azizi

PARALEGAL

Hashmat was born and raised in Kabul. He moved to Nashville in 2021. He has worked with Moore Afghanistan as Compliance Director. He has a BBA degree from Punjabi University of Chandigarh India and has over 6 years of experience in both compliance and legal issues.

Charlotte English

STAFF ATTORNEY

Charlotte is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. She was awarded her J.D. from the Nashville School of Law graduating with distinction. She was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in November 2012. In early 2018, Charlotte began volunteering in the Nashville refugee and immigrant community. Her involvement with this community ultimately led her to pursue a new career direction focused on helping refugees and immigrants.

Bethany Jackson

SENIOR COUNSEL

Bethany is a graduate of Rhodes College and Tulane University School of Law. Bethany has practiced law in New Orleans, Baltimore and Nashville. Her volunteer experience includes work with Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Nashville Bar Association Pro Bono Program and Nashville Public Library.

Aineth Murguia

ASSISTANT LEGAL DIRECTOR & DOJ ACCREDITED REPRESENTATIVE

Aineth received her B.S. in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University. She previously managed criminal and immigration cases involving Homeland Security and USCIS, providing lead support to the legal team.

ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION MANAGER

Hannah was born and raised in Nashville and graduated from Princeton in 2021 with a BA in Spanish. In her previous role as a Language Justice and Hotline Coordinator, she focused on community outreach and improving access to interpretation.

María Elena Villalobos

BILINGUAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

María Elena graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.A. in Spanish. She has previously volunteered and worked closely with Sagrado Corazón Catholic Church. She is excited to work with our team at TNJFON and help teach the Tennessee community about immigrant matters.

Laura was born and raised in Miami, where she received a B.S. in Communications from the University of Miami. She has previously worked in the fields of nonprofit, private education, and higher education. She is excited to join the TNJFON team and contribute to the work in support of the immigrant community.
